I’m happy to announce that I’ve finished editing the short film about the 2023 iteration of Prairie Comics Festival that I shot while there in Winnipeg. The short film covers my, and my wife Elaine’s, experience of visiting Winnipeg and a small cross section of my fellow comic creator exhibitors present at the show.

During my return to Humboldt, right here in Saskatchewan, Canada, I spent time shooting a glossy 4K video about Humboldt Summer Sizzler Comic Con; a true gem of a comic con, as it is one in the deeply rural city of Humboldt.

Not only did I shoot some beautifully cinematic RAW video, which I colour-graded and processed myself, but I got exclusive access to interviewing Jeff Burton, founder and organizer of the show, the night before the con.

It’s been a minute, hey? Sorry about the radio silence during the holidays and all of January, but I have lived up to that most Terminator-y of promises and I am back.

So, the big news is that Siegfried: Dragon Slayer is nominated for Best Graphic Novel (2022) at the Sequential Magazine Awards.

If you’d told me at the start of 2022 that one of the many professional hats I wear would be that of a commentator, I would have told you that you were crazy.
However, here I am one week into providing live commentary for the Pro Power Preview races on the brand-new virtual fitness/training app for cyclists, CADEsport.
